Is my data safe and secure with Wufoo?
We do our best to ensure the safe keeping of your data on Wufoo. Our servers are managed by Rackspace and located at the Ashburn Corporate Center in Virginia. We also offer plans with 128 bit SSL encryption so you can both serve and submit form submissions via a secure transfer protocol. We also provide the ability to store information in an encrypted format in the database. We have the expertise of BitPusher, a company whose founders have experience with Napster and Netcom (among others), to ensure that everything is safe and stable on the hardware end. What's a form?
Defined as the area of an HTML document into which the user is able to input data, forms are an excellent way of collecting and processing information from your users. With Wufoo, you can create all kinds of forms. In a few short minutes, you can build a mailing list, a marketing survey or even a complete customer management system.
What's a report?
As you gather data through your form, Wufoo provides a data visualization system to help you view, understand and analyze your collected information in real-time. You can build filtered tables, graphs and charts and securely share your survey results with others. For those that need more control of their data, we provide multiple export formats (like Excel) for you to download your collected information.
What's a field?
The fundamental unit of every form is a field and it determines what kind of data can be collected by your form. In addition to your standard fields (text, number, multiple choice, drop down and checkboxes), Wufoo provides premade structures to help you collect the most common data types. The maximum number of fields allowed is approximately 100, but varies based on the field types used in the form.
What's an entry?
Every time a user fills out a form and successfully submits it, the entry is stored on our servers. One successful form submission that is kept in an account's database for 24 hours = one entry. The maximum number of entries allowed per month are calculated across all forms on an account.
What's Max Fields?
Because
checkboxes and textareas are handled differently on the database side in Wufoo,
the maximum number of fields you can have on a form isn't set in stone and is dependent on the type of data
you're collecting. Generally, this is about 100 fields, but it is limited by the number of
checkboxes (each choice counts as a field) and paragraph fields. Paragraph fields take up a lot more space on the database
and so a maximum of 10 are allowed on a form.
